A Brief Overview Of Playlist Push
Playlist Push has risen through the ranks to become one of the most recognizable names in Spotify playlist-promotion, sometimes even outclassing long-established behemoths.
With a sleek website and a tight focus, their service tends to appeal to no-nonsense individuals who prefer to load up their music, make their payments, and sit back and relax as the streams roll in. Playlist Push makes that possible.
This is all thanks to their AI-powered algorithm (with advanced targeting), which does most of the heavy lifting. This naturally differs from what a boutique agency would offer. But for those who don’t want to endlessly customize and avoid the back and forth of detailed communication, Playlist Push is fast and easy.
Playlist Push offers promotion for both Spotify and TikTok, and users have the option of promoting their music on both platforms or simply choosing one or the other. The company has managed to help its users get solid results on both, whether signed or independent.
Their pricing is flexible, and they offer detailed live reporting to keep you up-to-date with how your campaign is progressing.
Their site has relatively few testimonials, and we’d like to see more, but at least they’ve got them. Their service has also been featured on the likes of Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, and CNBC.
Playlist Push Set Up
If you don’t already have an account with Playlist Push, then all you need to do is locate the “Start Campaign” button somewhere on the website (it’s not hard to find) to get things underway.
Once you’ve clicked the button, you should be brought to a landing page where you can enter your basic information – name, email address, platforms you want to promote your track on, track name, artist name, artist social link, music language, artist country, artist hometown, phone number, and how you found Playlist Push.
You can also upload your track on the same page, which Playlist Push recommends.
Once you’ve filled out the required information, you can apply for a campaign, and you should receive an approval message in your inbox within a short amount of time. Simply follow the steps from there, and once your campaign is underway, Playlist Push’s AI-powered algorithm will do most of the work on your behalf.
The Real Reason To Use Playlist Push
Playlist Push is mostly dedicated to music promotion on Spotify and TikTok, but there are some other minor vignettes on their website.
They have blogs with some helpful content for artists and creators, an affiliate program, and gift cards for those who might want to share the gift of playlist-promotion with friends or family.
What Is The Price For Playlist Push Campaigns?
So, when Playlist Push says, “flexible pricing,” what they mean is they don’t serve customers willing to spend any less than $280.
We think this is more than fair, as the company delivers on what they say they’re going to do, but if you don’t have your budget in order just yet, you may want to save up and return to initiate your campaign later.
There isn’t an upper limit on how much you can spend, at least not an amount you’re likely to reach any time soon. But we always advise our readers to spend responsibly and strategically to get the best results possible.
Playlist Push, Our View Overall
Let’s start with the basics. Playlist Push is one of the most attractive yet simplest platforms of any service of its kind. It’s to the point where other services try to copy them because they seem to have nailed a formula few ever do.
This plays right into user experience, so it’s no wonder Playlist Push decided to invest in this aspect of its online presence. Since the promotion itself is relatively hands-off, they need to have an efficient, streamlined system to get their users started fast. They seem to be very self-aware in this regard.
Playlist Push’s algorithm is quite competent as well. It does a good job of placing your music in relevant playlists, something that’s rarely a guarantee with any other service.
Their live reporting feature is decent enough, and importantly, their service delivers results. It can be a little unclear from their pricing (most other companies in the category have fixed packages rather than “flexible pricing”), but the results offered are competitive from everything we’ve seen.
You can see more details in our review of Playlist Push.
What Does Playlist-Promotion Offer?
Playlist-Promotion doesn’t like to mince words. They call themselves the #1 playlist-promotion service and boldly declare that they can get your music heard. I suppose, if nothing else, you’ve got to admire their confidence.
Playlist-Promotion has been in existence since 2015. The company specializes in Spotify playlist promotion, and they claim to have access to over 1,000 playlist curators representing 3,000 playlists.
While some services don’t offer any guarantees beyond a rough number of streams you can expect to get for purchasing one of their packages, Playlist-Promotion guarantees placements and even has a money-back guarantee if the results produced are not as expected.
If you’d like to contact them and talk with them directly, they offer telephone support, and they strive to be as transparent in their communication as possible.
Artists like Travis Scott, BTS, French Montana, and others have utilized their service, which at least sounds reassuring.
In addition to Spotify playlist-promotion, Playlist-promotion also offers YouTube promotion and radio promotion (we’ll talk more about these in the “Other Features / Benefits” section below).
Playlist-promotion has been featured on ABC, MTV News, and NBC, among other outlets.
How Playlist-Promotion Works
Nothing is intimidating about getting started with Playlist-promotion. Having clicked the “Submit your Spotify song” button, you’ll be brought to a web form with four fields to fill out – your name, email address, song name, and Spotify song link.
If it’s an unreleased song, you can click the “Upcoming song” checkbox, and if there’s something you’d like to share with Playlist-promotion about your campaign, you can click on the “Add text” checkbox to share relevant details.
After that, the only thing left to do is submit the form for approval, and Playlist-promotion will be in touch with you about your campaign in 24 to 72 hours.
Other Playlist-Promotion Features And Benefits
Playlist-promotion is not limited to Spotify playlist-promotion and offers a few other promotional services and benefits on their website, including:
- YouTube promotion. With three primary packages – up to 10,000 views for €247, up to 50,000 views for €877, and up to 100,000 views for €1,740.
- Radio promotion. Playlist-Promotion claims to have access to 40,000 radio stations, covering genres both obscure and popular. Pricing information is unavailable on their website, but there is a convenient web form you can fill out to get in touch with their team to discuss your project.
- Promotion tips. Covering topics like how to get Spotify followers, what major artists do that independents don’t, why it’s better to release singles, and so on.
- Playlist submission. Playlist curators can submit their playlists for consideration in the Playlist-promotion network.
- Affiliates. Playlist-Promotion has an affiliate program anyone can join to promote their service and earn commissions on their efforts.
Playlist-Promotion Pricing
Many playlist promotion services offer a relatively transparent view of their various pricing schemes and packages. Playlist-Promotion, unfortunately, is not one of them.
Reportedly, though, Playlist-Promotion has packages ranging from 100,000 follower reach to 1 million follower reach, from $350 to $2,500.
We cannot confirm the accuracy of these numbers, however, as the packages may not be fully up to date.
Playlist-Promotion, Overall Thoughts
Even though their website can leave potential users with many questions (it would be nice to see a more human touch to the platform), Playlist-Promotion is legit. But it isn’t just legit – it has a history of driving fantastic results for artists.
Users noted that their music was placed in authentic-looking playlists, they were impressed by the company’s communication and dashboard, and best of all, their cost per stream proved one of the most cost-effective of any service (though results will vary).
The only notable downside with Playlist-Promotion is that your music may be placed in rather broad playlists, but this could prove a step above services that don’t make any effort to place your music in relevant playlists.
Playlist Push vs Playlist-Promotion, Which Is Better? The Verdict
Sometimes it can be a little hard to tell different playlist promotion services apart. This certainly holds for Playlist Push and Playlist-Promotion, which are very similar from the outside looking in. But some subtle differences could inform your decision as a consumer.
For starters, with Playlist Push, Spotify and TikTok promotion are practically integrated. You can choose one or both as you’re setting up your campaign, and you don’t need to set up separate campaigns to take advantage of both.
Meanwhile, while Playlist-Promotion may offer YouTube and radio promotion services in addition to Spotify promotion, you would need to set up separate campaigns for all. This makes sense, given that they are all very different channels, but it does mean you’d need a separate budget for all.
Another factor that will probably get your attention as an artist is the cost per stream. Playlist-Promotion seems to have a leg up on Playlist Push in this regard, and if you are playing a numbers game, then you may lean more heavily towards Playlist-Promotion.
That said, we do think results will vary depending on the artist and song, and we don’t think Playlist-Promotion is likely to overdeliver with every customer. So, it could be that Playlist-Promotion and Playlist Push are on equal footing in this regard too.
One more factor that may play into your decision is customer support. You can see from the way the websites are set up that while Playlist Push is a little more self-serve, Playlist-Promotion is a little more hands-on.
This isn’t to say that one is right and the other is wrong. It usually comes down to preference. Some artists like to sit back and let things happen, while others like to interact with their vendors and learn as much as they can in the process.
So, should you choose Playlist Push or Playlist-Promotion? At the end of the day, it’s up to you and your current career goals.
Based on the many factors outlined here, you’re probably leaning towards one or the other already, but if not, you can always reach out to both and let them know what’s on your mind.
It’s well worth spending some time getting to know your vendors before dropping a large sum of money on their services, and you never know what you might pick up in the process.
