Bay Eight Recording Studios Miami
The Grammy winning Bay Eight Recording Studios Miami is a 24/7 three-room facility, featuring the SSL Room, Apollo Room, and Whisper Room.
Their website features a video studio tour, something I would love to see on every recording studio website. If you want to get better acquainted with what Bay Eight offers, be sure to have a look.
With songwriting, music production, recording, mixing, and mastering services, Bay Eight takes a boutique approach to the process, tailoring the methodology to the individual, helping them achieve their unique creative goals.
Bay Eight has been in business for over 20 years, and has worked with the likes of Usher, Nas, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, and other names you’re bound to recognize.
While I do not see their rates on their website, they do have a convenient contact form at the bottom of every page. So, for more information, be sure to get in touch.
Bay Eight Recording Studios Miami is in North Miami Beach, FL.
The House of Hits
The House of Hits calls themselves a luxury recording studio, and if their sleek modern studio design is any indication (it reminds me a bit of the USS Enterprise from Star Trek), they might be on to something.
I love that they are upfront about their rooms and rates – the Presidential Suite at $150 per hour, the Executive Suite at $80 per hour, the Master Suite at $125 per hour, and the Guest Suite at $90 per hour. If you’d like to delve into what each suite offers, as well as the gear used in each room, there’s more information on The House of Hits’ website.
The House of Hits has worked with the likes of The Weekend, DJ Khaled, Sean Paul, and many others.
Kudos goes to The House of Hits, because they’ve got all the information you could possibly need in deciding whether to work with them – everything just mentioned plus a 3D interactive studio tour, booking info, an FAQ, samples, beats, a blog, and more.
Studio 26 Miami
With recording, production, and engineering services, Studio 26 Miami has worked with the likes of Sting, David Guetta, Snoop Dogg, and other luminaries. The studio facility is home to two rooms – Recording Studio A and Rehearsal / Recording Studio B.
Their recording and rehearsal facilities are both equipped with all the equipment you need to make your creative visions a reality. Seems like this is something every studio should have, but it’s reassuring…? I think. I’m not sure how I would record in an empty room with no gear.
Studio 26 also hosts a variety of events, like album listening and release parties, photo / video shoots, auditions, band or label showcases, pre-tour production, and more.
While not clearly marked, their website is also home to a video showing off their facilities. From a prospect’s perspective, this is important information!
While I do wish the website copy offered a little more substance (what did I just read?), I do give Studio 26 a passing grade for their online presence.
Noisematch Studios
Noisematch Studios offers an array of services to meet the demands of the modern creator – music production, mixing, mastering, film scoring, session musicians, and video production.
But for those looking to take their careers to the next level, Noisematch also offers artist development services – marketing strategy development, social media content rollout, studio A&R services, brand development, and playlisting services.
If you’ve got big plans for your music, it may be worth considering these add ons.
Noisematch is not upfront about their rates. They probably have a good reason for that, and maybe (but only maybe) they offer customized packages to artists based on their projects. Before you get too excited, though, I’d suggest reaching out to them directly for more information.
Overall, Noisematch has got a great looking website with plenty of photos and videos.
Miami Music Production
Miami Music Production (also known as GT Music Studio) offers demo and song production, movie soundtracks and sound design, long-distance services, music transcription services, and more. In that sense, Miami Music Production might be one of the most unique studios out there – they offer a unique set of services.
Best we can tell, the studio is run by musician, composer, and music producer Gonzalo Terán (the “GT Music” moniker also starts to make sense). You can hear some audio samples right on his website.
We’re not sure about rates, and the website is a tad confusing / minimalist, but Gonzalo Terán strikes us as being a true pro, and from we can tell, this is a Spanish friendly studio as well (though we also think most studios in Miami are).
MIX MASTERS MIAMI
Located in the heart of Miami, MIX MASTERS MIAMI is home to Studio A (starting at $160 for two hours of recording time, $90 without an engineer) and Studio B (starting at $120 for two hours of recording time, $60 without an engineer).
They offer a free studio tour (something I always like to see, because it’s a good opportunity to discover whether you want to work with them), in addition to mixing services.
Their website features a sophisticated booking system, newsletter signup, and apparently the opportunity to sign up for a Pro Tools workshop as well. Other than that, their website doesn’t contain much information.
For a bit of media, you can check out their Instagram page though. I would love to see more of this on their website.
Heigastudios
Heigastudios was founded by CEO and head of visual department Malury Imbernon, executive operations leader Adrian Morales Demori, and art director Lu Freitas.
They offer a bevy of services in the audio, music, spatial audio, and creative domains. That includes things like recording, mixing, ADR, voiceover recording, sound design, surround mixing, video editing, video production, music videos, and more.
For a full listing of their services, I would recommend perusing their website. If you’re looking for anything a little outside the box, Heigastudios has probably got it.
REDDOT
REDDOT doesn’t offer a whole lot of information on their website, or for that matter, their social media profiles. It’s sort of a mystery as to why they set up both, when they’re not on top of either. At the very least, they’ve got a decent photo gallery so you can scope out the place.
Is this the right recording environment for you? Unfortunately, there’s not a whole lot more we can tell you about REDDOT, but they do have contact information on their site, so if you’re itching to find out more, be sure to drop them a line.
Rakoon Sound Studios
The Rakoon Sound Studios team is made up of head engineer and manager Ricardo Lund, producer and DJ Gabriel Lopez, producer / musician / DJ / sound engineer Alessandro Gozzo, and assistant engineer Manny Rodriguez.
Rakoon Sound Studios is home to Studio A, Studio B, Studio C, and their Lounge. The likes of Leslie Grace, Matador, Rafa Barrios, The Polar Boys, and Thomas Jack have all been through their doors.
Rakoon offers a mix of mixing, mastering, music production, DJ lessons, vocal coaching, and electronic music lessons as well.
If that wasn’t enough, Rakoon also dedicates some of their energy to artist development with seminars and workshops.
Flagler Studios
Flagler Studios set out to create a studio – equipped with professional gear but accessible to the average independent artist – serving their local community.
Their rates do seem to reflect this fact. Recording costs $35 per hour without an engineer and $50 per hour with. You can also pay $300 for a full mix and $200 for mastering. These types of rates are hard to come by.
Their website also has a humble photo gallery. All in all, there’s not a ton of information on their website, but Flagler Studios seems quite friendly and willing to help, so if you’re budget conscious or simply interested in learning more, it’s worth reaching out.
VOA STUDIOS MIAMI
VOA STUDIOS MIAMI offers a variety of services depending on your project requirements – recording, mixing, mastering, dubbing, voiceover and adaptation, video production, and sound design.
They have three cleverly named recording facilities, called the Sunbox, Purplebox, and Moonbox. We’d love to see a little more information on each of these suites on their website, but at least they do provide photos.
The VOA STUDIOS team is made up of production manager Andres Morales, localization supervisor and musical director Cindy E. Perez, PR and business development Samantha Marrero, and director and audio engineer Nico Chang.
Their most notable clients mostly include well-known companies and brands like Paramount+, Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, YouTube, and more. But if you’d like to see whether there’s a good fit for your next project, you can give them a call.
Pentagon Music Studio
Pentagon Music Studio offers both music production and video production services. In addition to mixing and mastering, they also provide talent management, beat making, playlist placement, and songwriting services.
Their studio rental fees start at $75 per hour.
While Pentagon Music Studio has a nice looking, modern website (and even some great content), I’m a little confused by how they’ve organized it. The first thing you see on their homepage is their gear list, which is important, but probably shouldn’t be the first thing people see (try a photo or video of your studio, maybe?).
If you can navigate these waters, though, you should do fine.
NH Records
Eddie Beethoven Nunez, also known simply as Eddie Nunez, founded NH Records in 2015. The first location was established in New York, but in 2019, it expanded to Miami, FL.
NH Records offers music production, recording, mixing, and mastering services, and they are home to an impressive list of recording equipment as well.
While the website serves its purpose, I think it may be time for a modern upgrade.
RoofTop Recording Studios
RoofTop Recording Studios can be found on the rooftop of the Village Flea Market & Mall. They offer vocal tracking, mixing, mastering, photoshoots, music videos, and even digital distribution to the modern creative.
RoofTop is operated by CEO and head audio engineer Johnny Jrama. Their team also includes engineers Dr. Swen and Adrienaline.
RoofTop has two rooms available – SSL Room A starting at $100 per hour with Dr. Swen and $150 per hour with Johnny Jrama, and Exposure Room B starting at $50 per hour with Adrienaline at $50 per hour and Dr. Swen at $75 per hour.
The Hub at Brickell
The Hub at Brickell offers a mix of music production, vocal recording, mixing, mastering, songwriting, and music production lesson services. The facility was founded by Juanxho and Slo Marr.
Recording sessions begin at $360, while songwriting and production starts at $450, audio engineering at $380, and demo songs at $600. We’re not sure what this means in terms of hours.
You’ll also find some photos on their website, which is always appreciated. Otherwise, they have a very basic online presence, but you can always reach out for more guidance.
Crescent Moon Studios
Established in the early 90s, Crescent Moon Studios is famous for being the permanent facility for Gloria and Emilio Estefan and their Miami Sound Machine. Not surprising, then, that the studio quickly became a major component of the Latin music boom in ensuing ears.
Their website currently appears to be under construction, so we couldn’t dig up a whole lot more info on Crescent Moon Studios. Many of the pages have yet to be built out. If you’re interested in working with them, though, you can always give them a call or drop them a line.
Miami Beach Recording Studios
Miami Beach Recording Studios offers recording, mixing, and mastering, and they do have music production and song packages as well, depending on your needs.
Miami Beach Recording Studios has worked with the likes of HBO Max Mexico, Marilyn Manson, and Paramore, among others.
Their website is quite minimal, so if you’re curious, you know what to do.
You can find Miami Beach Recording Studios in North Miami, FL.
Syfy Studios
Syfy Studios offers recording, mixing, mastering, and other creative services. Studio recording rates begin at $120 for two hours. There’s a complete listing of the services offered and relevant rates on their website, so be sure to check it out if you see a good fit here.
They also have monthly memberships for artists and producers for two free hours of recording per month, plus a lot of other great bonuses. I’m not sure if I’ve seen anything exactly like this before, so it’s worth considering if you plan to head into the studio frequently.
Appropriately, they’ve chosen an alien theme for their website, but it does not appear to be mobile optimized, and it feels like it’s missing some key information too. But if you’d like to talk with them, they have a convenient online chat function on their site.
Audio Vision Studios
Located in North Miami, FL, Audio Vision Studios has been around a good, long while. The studio was founded by brothers Howard and Ron Albert, who have over 40 years of experience in the industry. They’ve worked with John Cougar Mellencamp, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Betty Wright, and many others.
This multi-room facility is home to the SSL Room, Raven Room, Sony Room, and Florida Room, each of which you can learn more about on the Audio Vision Studios website (with photos, gear list, etc.).
Their website hammers home the idea that even in a world where digital and “in the box” recording are becoming more prevalent, their clients still trust them to deliver quality recordings with a quality sound, and of that I have little doubt. Plugins are great, but there is still plenty of demand for that true analog sound.
The Bull Studios
Located in North Miami, FL, The Bull Studios offers a mix of recording, editing, mixing, mastering, vocal editing, consultation, online mixing and mastering, and rehearsal space services.
They’ve worked with the likes of Jacuzzi Boys, Wrong, Private School, Snarky Puppy, FOX, Nickelodeon, and many others.
While their website is relatively sparse, you’ll also find audio samples you can listen to, so you can get acquainted with their work.
Afterhours Music Recording Studios
Afterhours Music Recording Studios handles recording, mixing, restoration and transfer, and music production related services.
Afterhours was founded by Hal Batt in 1984 behind his home, making it one of the first (if not the first) professional home recording environments. The official studio facility was later designed by Scott Phillips in 1988. The studio would continue to go through many upgrades in ensuing years.
They’ve had the likes of Julio Iglesias, Shakira, Taj Mahal, Vanilla Ice, Ricky Martin, and many others through their doors. Today, the studio is run by owner Hal Batt, engineer Jacob Batt, and assistant audio engineer Jordan Batt (sounds like a family run operation?).
Afterhours Music Recording Studios can be found in North Miami, FL.
Velvet Basement Recording Studios Miami
If you need recording, mixing, mastering, or production services, regardless of genre, Velvet Basement Recording Studios Miami has got your back!
They’ve got experience working with the likes of Johnny Holliday, Miss FD, Rey Ruiz, and others. You’ll also find a beat store, samples, and a photo gallery on their website.
While they do have a nicely designed site, the one thing it appears to be missing is a little more content.
Rebel 11 Studios
Located in Doral, FL, roughly 30 minutes from the heart of Miami, Rebel 11 Studios is outfitted with some of the best studio recording gear money can afford.
With recording, mixing, and mastering services at the ready, the facility features three rooms – Studio A (with the SSL 9088K), Studio B (with the SSL Duality), and Studio C (with an array of outboard gear and plugins).
What stands out about their website most is their professional logo design. There are still a few basics I would love to see from them in terms of content, and the graphic representing their client list is a little hard to read. But you can’t judge everything by its cover. Drop them a line if you’re interested in working with them.
World Famous Sound Studios
World Famous Sound Studios can be found in North Miami, FL. Their four-room facility is perfect for recording, mixing, and production related needs. And, apparently, they are the first VR and crypto integrated music hub in existence.
The L.A. Suite begins at $89.99 per hour, The Zen Suite at $59.99 per hour, and The Tron Suite at $59.99 per hour. I know I said it has four rooms, which is what their website says, but I have no idea what the fourth room is.
World Famous has worked with the likes of Inner Circle, Trina, City Girls, Sony Music, Interscope Records, and many others.
PLYBCK Studios
PLYBCK Studios positions itself as Miami’s “one stop shop.” This RIAA Certified Platinum recording facility is open 24/7 and is home to Studio A (with the latest DAWs, plugins, and outboard gear), and Studio B (also with the same).
PLYBCK offers music production, voiceover / ADR, mixing, mastering, session musicians, and studio room rental services to cover all your bases.
Their team is made up of multiple recording engineers, mixing engineers, songwriters, and producers – Ice, Nando, Briggs, Tone, Bryan, Arson, and Emmi (not everyone handles all duties but there is some crossover).
If you sign up for their email list, you can get discounts on studio time, mixing, and mastering, so it may be worth it if you’re thinking about laying down your next project at PLYBCK Studios.
Morplay Studios
Established in 2017 and located in Wynwood, Miami’s Art District, Morplay Studios can be found inside the Morplay Academy agency.
Home to Studio A, Studio B, Studio C, and Studio D, Morplay offers service packages they call Mix A (two tracks), Mix B (multiple tracks), and Mix C (to work with diamond-certified engineer Koen Heldens). We’re not sure if that means they only do mixing and no recording, but you should reach out before booking, just in case.
Their team of engineers includes Frank Socorro, Koen Heldens, and Johnny “J5” Ortega, who’ve worked with the likes of XXXTentaction, Kaney West, Lil Wayne, and others.
A2F Studios
When it comes to post-production services, A2F Studios has got your back – production, mixing, sound design, ADR, dubbing, voice Q set up, subtitling, video editing, studio rental, and more.
A2F is run by founder Will Datelma, and is also home to studio manager Rancel Lopez, creative director Jessica Winship, and engineers Pamela Velez, Denzel “Heartbreak” Richards, Adam Moralejo, Hiram Shults, Zaigo, MC4, Brayan Gomez, Tommy Comet, Zach Langstaff, Eduardo “Guala” Garcia, Mauricio Fernandez, and Chris Brown.
Collectively, they’ve worked with the likes of Akon, Diddy, Faith Evans, and many other recognizable names.
A2F is home to multiple recording suites. The website is a little unclear, but from what we can tell, they are the Neve Suite, SSL Suite (which is coming soon), Icon Suite, Pre-Suite, and Creative Lakay.
Because they are a post-production studio, A2F may not necessarily be the place to go if recording is your primary objective. That said, it’s well worth reaching out to them about your project to see whether there’s a fit.
HGAB Studios
HGAB Studios will be right down your alley if you need photography, video, and podcast recording services, because that’s what they offer. No, they don’t record music so far as we know, but it seems like a great place to get your next photoshoot, “making of” video, or audio content nailed down.
HGAB Studios is home to Studio A, Studio B, Studio C, and their Podcast Studio. They offer an array of services in the arena of podcasts, “about us” videos, maternity, headshots, and eCommerce services depending on your needs.
HGAB also has a sizable inventory of props in case you might require them for your content.
Top Miami Recording Studios, Final Thoughts
There are many places you can record in the world, but Miami may well be one of the most creatively inspiring. From the beaches to the food, there is a great deal to see and to explore, especially if you’ve never visited.
And if you need your next project to be up to professional standards, guaranteed you can find a recording studio with the talent, experience, and skill necessary to bring your creative visions to fruition. You might need to do a bit of homework to find the right fit, but the effort you put into it will pay off.
We hope you have a blast recording in Miami!
